Somewhat comical video of “popular justice” was recorded in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. A man suspected of killing a child is being lead away by police, while random locals come to throw random punches at him.
At around 0:24 the suspect takes a blow square to the face and ends up so dazed, he dwindles to the side and lands on a set of stairs. The policeman had to quickly shove him in the back of his vehicle cause the populace was getting way too lynch happy.
The video starts with a whole whack of people running behind the camera as if someone was giving away free cookies. At the end of the video there are images showing a trashed media vehicle – with the suspect gone, the locals probably took their rage on members of the media… like that’s gonna do them any good.
