Cop Elbows Woman with Mental Health Issues in the Face on a Bus in Bellflower, California

When a man by the name of Jermaine Green noticed two LA County sheriff’s deputies get on a Metro bus in Bellflower, California and start harassing a female passenger, he did the right thing and pulled out his cell phone camera to record the altercation. True to their purpose to bully and terrorize the public, the deputies quickly escalated the altercation and the male deputy elbowed the woman in the face.

Because cops are the greatest threat to the life and well being of every civilian, everyone who follows the principle of “When You See Something, Film Something” deserves praise for we only have each other to cover our backs against the abuses of power we face from the ranks of police.

Unfortunately, the violence glorifying mainstream media, instead of focusing on the importance of filming the police, dedicated much of the report on the incident to “thank you for your service” glorification of war. Surprise!

Jermaine Green was right when he said that he didn’t want to hand his cell phone over to the cops because:

I think they would try to cover it up. I think a lot of things get covered up and people need to come forward if they see something, report it because it can’t be fixed unless it’s brought to the public’s attention.

But the fact that he failed to feel ashamed for spending six years bullying and terrorizing civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq, destroying their homelands and corrupting their economies, does not make him any better than the cops who punch women with mental health issues in the face because they can.

The incident in the video happened in 2012. The war glorifying NBCLA contacted the police department by phone but were told that they would not comment on this case and would not look at the videotape, but the spokesman said the department does investigate all use of force claims.

You can rest assured that “the department does investigate all use of force claims” was their way to brush the nosy reporter off and after 2 years, nothing has been done about it. The cop is likely still out on the street, assaulting more people who can’t defend themselves with complete impunity. To say that they don’t even plan to look at the evidence of abuse is a clear indication that they have every intention to whitewash the abuses of their officers. Afterall, it’s much easier to say the officer is innocent when you ignore the evidence.
