B.C. Man Assaulted by Roid Raging RCMP Cop Suffered Permanent Brain Damage

50 year old Robert Wright from British Columbia, Canada was arrested on April 21, 2012 under suspicion of driving drunk. With hand cuffed behind his back, he was taken to a holding cell in Terrace, B.C. (where also this assault by the RCMP took place).

While handcuffed and kneeling on a concrete bench, Robert Wright uttered swear words to which an RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) officer responded by slamming him violently to the floor. Unable to deflect the fall, Robert Wright hit his head, leaving a pool of blood under him.

The incident left him with permanent brain damage and unable to care for himself. He had to spend 11 weeks in hospital, and 15 weeks at a rehabilitation centre in Vancouver.

Having learned that his brain damage was permanent, Robert Wright filed a lawsuit against the RCMP and the province of British Columboia, alleging that Const. Brian Heideman’s excessive use of force was exacerbated by the officer’s use of steroids that “caused him to be unduly aggressive and violent.

According to Robert Wright’s lawyer Scott Stanley, there is another action against Brian Heideman’s alleging use and distribution of steroids.

And how did the RCMP respond to sending the man to a hospital for 11 weeks after causing him permanent brain injury by slamming him to the floor while he was handcuffed? By claiming that he was like that before they got him.

That’s Police State Canada, where the cops don’t even try to hide the corruption anymore. In a statement, the RCMP said:

The defendants specifically deny that they, the RCMP members or anyone for whom they may be liable, were negligent… If the plaintiff suffered any personal injury, loss or expense as alleged, or at all, then any such personal injury, loss or damage was not caused by the RCMP members, but is attributable to previous and/or subsequent incidents involving the plaintiff.

The Crown (prosecutors), which is traditionally in cahoots with the cops and just as corrupt, declined to approve charges against any officer involved.

CCTV video from the jail cell where the attack by the alleged roid raging cop Brian Heideman took place is below. Remember, the police do NOT serve and protect you, the civilian:
