Handcuffed Man Choked and Tazed by Police in Michigan, Cameraman Harassed and Assaulted for Recording It

This video was originally published on Facebook by a person who filmed it with the following commentary:

Share this video! Police brutality in Macomb county! This man was dragged from the car, choked, and tasered… afterward McClaren security stole my phone and had Macomb sheriff detain me for recording the assault.

I watched the video and that’s precisely what I saw. I saw police, assisted by hospital security, drag a handcuffed man in a wheelchair. While his hands were cuffed behind his back, the police choked and tazed him. After noticing that the incident was being videotaped, the hospital security proceeded to harass the cameraman and physically assaulted him, ripping his camera phone out of his hands.

I looked around and found an article about it in My Fox Detroit. Fox being a pro establishment propaganda network laced the report with police apologisms, but I was able to extract some additional information about the incident:

The article states that Maurice Taylor was arrested by Clinton Township Police for a DUI following an accident. They took him to McLaren Macomb Hospital and said he was combative, refused to leave the cruiser and had to be forced into the wheelchair.

In response to hospital security assaulting Mr. Richard Carman – the cameraman, McLaren Hospital released the following statement:

The unauthorized use of video equipment and cameras is prohibited anywhere on our hospital campus. The person who captured this video was on hospital property and did not have permission from the prisoner or any other team member to video this interaction.

How utterly disgusting. That their staff assaulted the cameraman doesn’t bother them. They prefer hiring expensive legal counsel to find legal loopholes in order to justify the assault.

On their Facebook page, McLaren Macomb Hospital published a note saying:

The phone was returned to its owner less than 10 minutes later.

LOL, are you kidding me? Just because the felony didn’t last long, that makes it justifiable? It’s like saying – “I was only raping her for 10 minutes!”

This video once again proves that police, and their lesser extensions do not serve and protect the civilians. They serve the system and protect their pensions. You, the civilian who’s taxes pay for their wages are a nuisance their goal is to keep obediently quiet and in line.

Notice how just before the video cuts off, it captures a uniform of a SWAT officer. WTF?
