A few things are associated to Brazil. Most people think of samba, capoeira, mixed-race people, long palmy beaches with exotic women with big asses and silicon tits, carnival and party all year round. Of course some are oblivious to the unbelievable amount of violence that plagues the country since the tourism boards do a good effort to keep the slums away from the brochures and commercials, but something else is becoming synonymous to Brazil, something we here at BestGore have come to know all too well, the Da Silvas and Flip-Flops. They are ubiquitous throughout this South American country, and whenever there is crime, a DaSilva with Flip-Flops is involved in some way or another. It’s like the United States without junk food and GMOS, France without arrogance and cheese and Great Britain without bad dentures and snobs. It just wouldn’t be right.
So, making a come back to my favorite place on the internet, I decided to greet my fellow friends-in-gore with what I do best, Brazilian gore.
This past Friday the 5th of December, a couple was found murdered in the lovely city of Caruaru, known as one of the most violent places in Brazil. The victims, Josenice Ferreira da Silva, 43, and her husband, Resenilton Oliveira da Silva, known as “nego”, or “blackie” in English, 29, were on a street in the Centenário neighborhood when they were approached by 3 guys in a VW Polo, who shot the couple several times. The hitmen left the scene a few minutes later but returned not long after, put Josenice inside the car and left with her. Paramedics did their best with Rosenilton who ended up passing away in the hospital, while his wife was found in a place called Cajá. She was finished off with more gunshots and was stoned too, just for the kicks of it.
Josenice’s family said her husband was a drug user and had been arrested for assault and kidnapping and that due to his behavior, her family members were against the relationship.
Police is already investigating the case but are more worried about the huge increase in violence in Caruaru in the past few days. This year alone more than 128 people have been murdered just in this Brazilian city, which really isn’t that big (348 thousand inhabitants).
