Windsor Cop Attacks Legally Blind Doctor, His Cop Buddies Falsely Charge Victim with Assault

This case of police brutality followed by your typical cover up and charges against the victim in order to force him into a defensive so he can’t seek justice for himself, is a poster child for what is wrong with police in North America. We have seen the exact same scenario unfold numerous times on Best Gore, but this case is so to the letter by the book, it’s truly frightening.

On April 22, 2010, Detective David Van Buskirk from Windsor in Ontario, Canada brutally and without provocation attacked Dr. Tyceer Abouhassan, who’s legally blind, at the Jackson Park Health Centre. The beating left Dr. Abouhassan, who did not fight back in any way, with a broken nose, bruised ribs, a torn eyelid and detached retina.

After the beating, when it became clear that there was a CCTV footage of the incident, David Van Buskirk’s cop buddies reviewed the video and despite blatant evidence that the victim was beaten senseless by the cop, approved charging Dr. Abouhassan with assault. This is typical of police brutality in North America as charging the victim forces them into a defensive, making it ultimately impossible to seek justice by pressing charges against the abuser.

After assaulting Dr. Abouhassan, Van Buskirk lied in his report to smear his victim as a violent person and force him into having to defend himself, instead of seeking reparations, by making such statements as:

… (the doctor) immediately reached out and grabbed my throat and pushed me backward.

The investigation of the incident was conducted by Van Buskirk’s cop buddies Sgt. Paul Bridgeman and Patrick Keane, who non surprisingly concluded that Dr. Abouhassan was a dangerous and violent individual the Canadian public must be protected from, and charged him with assaulting a peace officer.

Paul Bridgeman reportedly watched the video between eight and ten times before endorsing assault charges against Dr. Abouhassan.

This is how it works in a police state. You get beat up, then you get falsely accused of assaulting a peace officers and then you get charged. If you are unlucky and there is no video evidence, or if you’re not wealthy enough to afford a lawyer capable of successfully subpoenaing relevant individuals to obtain videos which may contain evidence, you’re never gonna see justice. Cops are proven liars and bullies, yet in a police state, their word will always be given greater value than your word.

Luckily for Dr. Tyceer Abouhassan, in his case, after two years of being treated like a criminal because he was in the path of an abusive cop who felt like beating someone up, he was able to obtain the video which proved his innocence and turned the tides for him. The charges against him were dropped and in turn, David Van Buskirk ended up charged.

With the video now in public hands, there was no way for him to talk his way out of the shit so David Van Buskirk pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily harm and was sentenced to 5 months in jail, with the possibility to appeal and be released on bail after posting $5,000 (that’s for beating a blind man up. Mark Marek, who allegedly committed the outrageous act of obscenity by publishing a video on the internet, thus causing no harm or loss to anyone, had to post $7,500 to be released on bail. Police state is as police state does!).

The Windsor Police Service suspended detective David Van Buskirk without pay, but not until the day he pleaded guilty.

CCTV video of the attack is below. Much of the action takes place off frame, but that David Van Buskirk lied when he said Dr. Tyceer Abouhassan attacked him is evident. This is what happens when you call the cops:
