Barbaric crime happened on Sunday July 7, 2013 in the city of Teixeira de Freitas, state of Bahia, Brazil. 30 year old José Idário Ferreira was beaten in the head with a club and machete until his skull split open and brain matter spilled out.
According to witnesses, 26 year old Josimar de Jesus Ribeiro who had been drinking with a co-worker returned to the bar and told patrons that he had gotten into an argument with the co-worker on their way home and killed him. At first, nobody believed him so Josimar left but later returned and claimed once again that he had really killed his co-worker. At that point, some of the men decided to follow him to the crime scene where they found a body with head split in half and brain oozing out of the huge hole in the skull.
Both victims and the killer were crack users and shared a house.
