Cartel Execution of Four Men in Guerrero, Mexico (2013)

Back in 2013, four men were found on a road near a bridge spanning the Mescala (Mezcala) river in state of Guerrero, Mexico. Three were victims were bound and show signs of having been tortured before execution, while a fourth was found in a black garbage bag. It has all the marks of a narco killing made all the more obvious by the identity of some of the victims…a cop, and his lawyer. Someone was ready to talk and all with him were silenced. The report released by Mexican media identifies them:

This is Jonathan Peralta Fuentes, 31-year-old agent Investigative Police
(PIM), the same who came last Tuesday at a hearing at the offices of the
Attorney General in Chilpancingo, which he left at approximately 4pm.

He was accompanied by his lawyer (another victim), Humberto Calderón
López, 30, resident of the Tamarind colony in the city of Iguala.

Eliseo Peralta Cuenca, 36, originally from Coacoyula brother in law
lawyer, is another victim, whose body was found inside a black plastic
bag tied with colored masking tape.

While the fourth of those executed was identified as Guzman Gabriel
Bautista, 34, a resident of the city of Iguala.

I wonder why Eliseo’s body was disposed of so differently from the others? I suppose he was abducted separately and killed at a different location. They sure gave him some time to marinate in his decomposition juices, though. Leading me to believe he was dead before the others.
