If you see something, film something. This cannot be stressed enough. America and Canada are police states with police acting as the largest street gang that serves the establishment and protects their own. You the civilian they bully and terrorize.
In the police state, cops just can’t do shit without abusing their authority and resorting to brutality. The only saving grace the civilians have is hope that others are filming their encounter with police.
Such was the case of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer who assaulted and beat a compliant man while he was arresting him. Even after the man was face down with hands cuffed behind his back, the officer continued to hit him. Obviously, used to abusing civilians and getting away with it, the cop did not think this adventure was being quietly filmed from a vehicle parked nearby.
The incident took place on May 28, 2014 on Lazelle Avenue in Terrace, British Columbia, Canada. Although several months have passed since the incident, the video has only been leaked now. As such, it’s only now, after the release of the video, that the officer, so far unidentified, has been placed on administrative leave (i.e. paid vacation time that the taxpayers foot the bill for) and an RCMP Code of Conduct investigation team has launched an investigation into the actions of police officers involved.
In other words, cops once again got away with it because nobody thought there was a video evidence of their brutality. They just lied about what happened, painted the victim as the bad guy, and not only did they get away, the victim likely faces charges that should be laid on the cops.
According to to the RCMP:
There was a 911 call about a fight between a male and a female on the 4700 block of Lazelle, behind the theatre. There were two individuals and both were taken into custody.
The video was provided anonymously to The Terrace Standard newspaper. This is understandable, because in police state Canada, if cops found out that you assisted in obtaining justice for victims of police brutality, you would never shake off criminal charges and harassment for the rest of your life. That’s how it works in police states. Though Canada does it the Tyrannism v2.0 way.
So here’s a big “cheers” to the person who did the right thing and filmed something, when he saw something. Until such time as the government ceases to be off the backers, for the backers and by the backers, and starts to be of the people, for the people and by the people, and the police stop serving the corrupt establishment and protecting their abuses from being exposed, and start serving and protecting the people, we can only rely on help from each other. So let’s keep doing it. Let’s look out for each other. And always remember – if you see something, film something, cause this is what happens when you call the cops.
