26 year old Darwin Francisco Arriola Dolmo attacked and tried to strangle his ex spouse from who he’s been separated for two years. Arrila Dolmo was reportedly drunk when he caught up with the woman and her three children in the Bellavista neighborhood of Trujillo, in Colón, in northern Honduras. The children helplessly watched and cried as their mother was being attacked in front of them.
A man with a machete confronted the attacker and tried to ward him off, but the drunk wasn’t paying much attention to it. I understand using the machete to scare the attacker away, but handling it so close to the children could have easily ended in a tragedy. The woman was holding her youngest on her chest and if the drunk jerked and hit the machete wielder’s arm, the blade could have gone to the little one’s head.
At the end of the video, Arriola Dolmo is shown taking one of the girls – 4 year old who’s his daughter. He manhandles her like she’s an object while she’s terrified and cries. The rough handling landed her with fractured left foot so she was taken to Atlántida Hospital in La Ceiba. The man was later arrested.
