Texas Judge Ordered This Video of 13 Year Old Boy Telling His Story Taken Down

Just how effed up, if not downright dangerous, the Child Protective Services are in the USA and Canada has been covered extensively on Best Gore in the past. Each year, countless children are forcefully taken away from their loving parents and given to a state care where they are abused, often sexually, and literally thousands die as a result.

One of those children, a 13 year old Texan boy, turned to the internet to tell his story by way of a video. Through a set of cards with individual messages (a male version of Amanda Todd), the boy tells a story of alleged abuse in state care system.

Texas judge Keith Dean, who has a history of scummy rulings, ordered the video taken down. He actually ordered the mother to take it down while she was standing in the courtroom. I do not live in Texas so I’ll side with the public’s right to be informed and will publish a mirror of the video here.

I do not know whether the story told through the video is true. I don’t know if this boy has a reason to lie, or if he was coerced by the family to play his part in the video. As with everything we publish at Best Gore (as well as everything you find published elsewhere), I encourage you all to never take anything at face value.

In this particular case, we don’t know much about the family or the CPS case against them. But what we do know is that the CPS is responsible for thousands of needless cases of abuse and deaths and often gets away with it. They suffer the messiah complex and make things exponentially worse by taking children who don’t need to be taken from families. Then the children get abused and traumatized in state custody and end up much worse off than before.

On the other hand, what the video doesn’t say is that the little boy Buddy Cook was found dead in the foster parents’ home. He was initially described as “skin and bones” with “sunken eyes”. The parents hadn’t taken him to see a doctor. One of the other foster children said that the parents hit them with a belt and withheld dinner regularly as punishment, while others denied any such punishments ever taking place. Buddy also had “bruises and marks” on his body. The medical examiner initially determined the cause of death to be homicide by starvation.

Later the evidence revealed that Buddy Cook actually had food and water in his stomach and weighed more than thought. His bowel was full throughout, indicating regular intake of food and water. The bruises were determined to be consistent with a fall. He had no fractures or external injuries indicative of abuse. Other children in the home denied the abuse. Mother said that on the day he died, Buddy threw up but had no fever so she didn’t take him to a doctor. Thus, the homicide charge against foster parents David and Angel Cook of Cleburne, Texas was dropped.

Some of the children said Buddy, who had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, reactive attachment disorder and a sexually transmitted disease, banged his head on things, sat in the corner rocking back and forth, and picked at his own skin.

He then allegedly started refusing to eat or drink, so his parents had to feed him Ensure because he was losing weight. As he later started eating his own feces and hurting himself, parents tried to tape gloves onto his hands to stop him.

Thus, I’m neither advocating in favor of the boy and his family, nor in favor of the CPS. What I’m advocating for is the people’s right to access to information. Besides, judge Keith Dean must be new to the internet if he thinks ordering a removal of a video uploaded by a person will make it disappear completely from the internet. He may need to take a closer look at the Streisand Effect.
