This video shows an apparent police brutality caught on a CCTV camera in Seabrook Police Station, New Hampshire. In the video, the cops are seen assaulting a teenager who had been taken into custody. The teen is first slammed against the wall, then pepper sprayed as he laid helpless on the ground.
This is how the victim – Michael Bergeron, Jr. described the incident:
I was charged with a DUI, but I tried explaining to the cops that I wasn’t drunk and they could be out catching actual criminals.
After being in the cell for a while, waiting for a bail bonds man, I was taken out and brought in the booking room to call for a ride. After calling a ride, I was told I could take my phone that I called from and my wallet.
As soon as I grabbed my wallet from the table, the officer with the glasses came at me saying he never told me I could take my stuff and choked me against the wall. He then tried to grab the wallet from my pocket. Once he got the wallet and my phone, this is what happened.
No lawsuit was filed due to the fact that even though I found a lawyer, the lawyer took the tapes and disappeared for two years. I finally tracked him down and got the tapes back, but now I think it’s too late to do anything with them even though I have a permanent lump on the back of my head, chipped teeth and brain injuries.
Funny how when a cop beats a civilian, other cops show up but not to hold the attacker back, but to add a kick of their own. When you’re attacked by cops, you truly have no one to protect you. That is why we the civilians need to look after one another if we can. Always keep in mind that cops are not your friends and if you see something, film something.
